The Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Sports Council announced on the 7th that wrestling veteran Kim Ik-jong (83) donated his collection, saying, "I want to help build the Jeonbuk Sports History Memorial Hall."

Elder Kim Ik-jong presented 315 items, including the 1st Blue Dragon Medal Competition winner's medal from 1964, various commemorative coins, Olympic uniforms, and photos of the games, to Jeong Gang-seon, the 스포츠  president of the Provincial Sports Association.

Born in Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do, he won gold medals five consecutive times at the National Sports Festival and competed in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and the 1968 Mexico Olympics.

After retirement, he served as a coach at Taereung Athletes' Village, director of the Korea Housing Corporation, director of the Montreal Olympics, and president of the Korea Wrestling Association. He also became the first Asian to serve as the chairman of the International Wrestling Federation referee committee.
